Advanced B.A. Students and M.A. Students encouraged to participate!

This topic will deal with the differentiating impact of Europeanisation in the post-Soviet republics of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia following the signature of Association Agreements in 2014 and the refusal by the Armenian government to sign it. We will discuss the possible internal as well as external factors for this cleavage from different disciplines. A second focus of the Convention will be value discourses between the EU, Turkey and Russia, in particular how they reverberate into the South Caucasus. Finally, we would like to discuss the role of the new EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy on developments in the wider region.
